I wrote this epic fantasy trilogy because I believe connection is the quiet force that holds worlds together.
Epic fantasy often asks enormous questions—about power, destiny, war, and the fate of civilizations. I love those stories. But as a reader and a writer, I kept returning to a simpler, more human truth beneath all that scale: no world is saved by a single figure standing alone. What endures—what survives catastrophe, tyranny, and loss—is connection.
This trilogy began as a way to explore that idea.
Separation and Crossing Divides
I was thinking about how easily people become separated—from one another, from their histories, from the land beneath their feet.
How fear and ambition can fracture communities. How silence can grow where understanding once lived. And yet, I was equally drawn to the moments when those divides are crossed: when someone chooses to listen instead of turn away, to trust instead of retreat, to reach for another even when it would be safer not to.
Fantasy gave me room to make those choices matter on an epic scale.
In this world, distance is not only emotional—it is geographic, cultural, magical. The barriers between people are real, and they are costly. But so is the act of bridging them. I wanted to write a story where alliances are forged slowly, where relationships are shaped by shared struggle, and where the fate of kingdoms is inseparable from the bonds between individuals.
Hope Built Over Time
Hope, in these books, is not effortless. It is something built—through friendship, loyalty, forgiveness, and the willingness to see one another clearly.
Again and again, the characters must decide whether to isolate themselves or remain connected, whether to protect only what is familiar or risk believing in something larger than themselves.
I chose to tell this story as a trilogy because connection unfolds over time. It deepens through hardship. It is tested by betrayal, distance, and loss—but it can also grow stronger because of them. Three books allowed me to follow that journey honestly, to let relationships evolve, fracture, and heal, and to show that hope is not a single victory, but a series of choices made again and again.
